Chester is a county in Tennessee. It was formed in 1879 from the following county/ies: Hardman/Madison/Henderson/McNairy. Chester began keeping birth records in 1908, marriage records in 1891, and death records in 1908. It began keeping land records in 1891, probate records in 1891, and court records in 1882.
