Corinthian Ship's Manifest (also attached) LeHavre France to New York 15 November 1853, includes as passengers, Xavier Petit 48 Farmer, Lydia Petit 19, Theresa Petit 17, Adelaide Petit 16, Sylvie Petit 14, Charles Petit 8, Emile Petit 6 and Adéle Petit 4.Francois 18 yrs, the oldest son, came over April 1853, on the ship Radius, with a Francois (28yrs), Guillaume (22yrs) and Virginie (29yrs). It is not clear how they were related and thought they might be cousins.Bound for New York from Le Havre. Arrived November 15, 1853. The ship Corinthian was a three-masted, square-rigged sailing ship, 1098 tons, built at Cape Elizabeth, Maine, and launched in 1851 by Joseph W. Dyer. When it arrived in New York in 1853, it first anchored at the quarantine ground at Tompkinsville, near the northeast part of Staten Island. After the sick passengers were removed, the ship proceeded to Manhattan.
