Répertoire géographique de l’Inde, District de Sagar, 1907

Cette base de données contient une copie des répertoires géographiques du district des provinces centrales, 1907 — District de Sagar.

This database contains a copy of the 1907 Central Provinces District Gazetteers—Saugor District.

The District of Saugor (Sagar) lies in central India with an area of about 10,000 km. At the time this gazetteer was produced, India was still under British rule. This volume includes maps and a gazetteer of tahsils, towns, important villages, rivers, and hills. It also provides plenty of description about a number of subjects, including geography, history and archeology, population (statistics, religion, caste, leading families), agriculture, finances and trade, buildings, and other items of interest.

This is an image-only collection.

Maps, atlases, and gazetteers are essential tools for family historians. Maps may be either topographical (emphasizing land forms) or historical (emphasizing historical events) in nature, though either type can show cultural features, such as the town and creek names that are so important for research.
